Zinnia's fear
Under a shady tree

Today Zinnia (age 5.5) expressed to me one of her greatest fears. She's afraid that if she hugs somebody who looks like her, she'll get the same face. By that, she says, she means they'll become the same person. It will happen if they hug when they first get there, but it's okay if they hug after a little while. I asked her if she meant that she's afraid that she'll become just like (indistinguishable from) all the other cute little blond girls and she said "Mmn! There's no girl like that! The example in my mind is Ayla." I'll have to think on this a bit more.

Supermoon
Under a shady tree

The Supermoon is Superhazy. Oh well, it's still pretty. It's going to rain tomorrow. And the next day. Usually I don't mind the rain, but it kind of sucks because I have to ride my bike everywhere right now and I have a doctor's appointment on Monday. So I'm going to ride my bike to the doctor on Monday morning. In the rain. Yeah, fun times. My car kind of works, but it has a leaky water pump so I don't want to drive it because driving it might kill the thing. I wish I had more money for repairs. And for paying my bills. And for buying groceries. I don't ask for much. I don't even buy any luxuries. I just want to get by. That reminds me. I might have forgotten to mention on LJ that I published my first book. It's available in print and ebook format most places online. You could find it if you went looking for it. I'll post more about it later, but the book is called Wolves of Timbre: The Karasu Curse. I think it's pretty good. Buy it if you want to read it but only if you really want it. I set the print price at $15.99 and the ebook price at $7.99 because those prices are just a bit lower than the current industry standard for new first run novels in 2013. I don't expect to sell a whole lot of copies very quickly (though it would be awesome if I did). I'm trying to build a publishing business and more books will be coming out very soon. Stay tuned and blame it on the Supermoon.
